ventures’ is DGS Mencap’s volunteer recruitment project,
which focuses on the special needs of volunteers who support and
help us in many areas of our work. Volunteers are crucial to the
present and future work of our organisation. The project recruits,
trains and provides on-going support to our volunteers encouraging
new people to come forward and helping to raise the profile of
the Company to the wider community.
We provide residential care, social activities and general support
for people with learning disabilities. To make this happen, we
desperately need those members of the community who are willing
to spare a small amount of time to assist us. We are looking for
any one who could commit some time for us every week or month.
We also require volunteer drivers for our mini buses for which
training will be provided. These commitments will not be heavy.
